Vía Fluent was created by Laura Millet, a native English speaker born and raised in Seattle, WA, USA. After high school, Laura moved to Southern California and attended California Lutheran University, where she obtained her Bachelors of the Arts in Spanish. During her studies, Laura was able to complete two semesters abroad, both in Costa Rica and Argentina. Laura has been fully bilingual in English & Spanish for 19 years and counting and has had many opportunities to travel the world and meet many amazing people, countries and cultures. Her Italian heritage inspired her to learn Italian, which she currently studies and practices - with the hopes of becoming fluent - alongside basic Portuguese which she picked up after 9 years of working under a Brazilian family in their restaurant.

Laura has a passion for travel and languages which is something she brings to her classroom and enjoys making lessons fun and interactive. Classes with Laura are catered to the student, where each individual receives a personalized curriculum catered to their current proficiency as well as their language goals. The classroom is a safe space and judgement-free zone where students are encouraged to ask questions and make mistakes, laugh together and have fun while improving their new language skills.

Laura is a certified TEFL instructor with a 120-Hour TEFL certification with speciality studies in remote learning and Business English. Her expertise in Spanish and love of language helps her connect with her students and makes them feel comfortable in their learning environment. She is welcoming and works with students from all over the world.
